Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting Experienced and Trainee Residential Youth Workers to join our casual team in our clients' children’s residential homes and Independent Living settings. We are looking for flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals eager to work in a specialist environment where full training and qualifications are provided.
The role involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behavior and complex needs within residential or independent living settings. The goal is to create an environment that caters to the young person’s intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who are in the care system for various reasons and have diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. Therefore, confidence, patience, and the right skill set are essential to make a positive impact on their lives.
Responsibilities include supporting young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. You will also interact with professionals like Social Workers, Probation Officers, and Police Officers, and support young people in environments such as classrooms, courts, and police stations.
A driving license is essential, as you will need to drive the unit car and transport young people to destinations like family contacts, school, and social activities.
Please note that an enhanced DBS check and successful completion of our induction programs are required before placements are offered.

Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Build strong professional relationships with service users and staff

5. Support young people in managing their behavior using approved skills

7. Protect service users from abuse from staff, visitors, or other service users
8. Write accurate reports and maintain records for monitoring
9. Attend and complete all required training and qualifications
10. Attend work reliably and punctually, following shift patterns
11. Stay informed about procedures and policy updates
12. Ensure health and safety for yourself and others
13. Perform any additional relevant duties
