Wehave an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Occupational Therapist to joinWest Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. You will be based withinInpatient Therapies Frailty and the Emergency Department at Watford GeneralHospital, where you will plan, coordinate, and evaluate the OccupationalTherapy service on a day-to-day basis. You will manage a complex clinicalcaseload while participating in the seven-day inpatient therapy rota, ensuringcontinuity and quality of care across the service.
Main duties of the job
Asan Advanced Occupational Therapist, you will provide expert leadership inpatient management, applying specialist knowledge and clinical reasoning todeliver targeted therapeutic interventions. You will lead and contribute toaudit, service evaluation, and research projects, translating evidence intopractice, implementing improvements, and supporting the development of updatedprotocols and pathways. Your role will also involve supervising Band 6Occupational Therapists, junior staff, and students, promote professionaldevelopment, and enhance overall service performance.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* HCPC-registered OT with degree/equivalent
* 4+ years acute NHS experience (frailty, ED, orthopaedics, elderly)
* Advanced clinical skills with CPD evidence
* Able to assess complex patients and lead service improvements
