Description ABOUT YOU As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll be organised, proactive and confident managing a varied workload. You’ll enjoy working in a collaborative environment and take pride in delivering a professional and efficient service to customers. You’ll be comfortable balancing multiple priorities, communicating clearly with different stakeholders, and taking ownership of your work to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time. Required skills and experience: Good IT literacy skills, with experience using CRM or similar systems Previous experience in a customer service and/or sales support environment A positive and motivated approach, with a willingness to learn and develop Able to take ownership of your work, demonstrating professionalism and accountability Flexible and resilient, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail Experience within a regulated, technical or UKAS-accredited laboratory environment is beneficial, but not essential ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY This role would suit someone looking to build on their customer service experience within a more structured, technical environment. You’ll play a central role in supporting customers and internal teams, ensuring enquiries are handled efficiently and work is delivered to a high standard. You’ll be trusted to manage your own workload, while receiving training and support to develop your technical knowledge over time. Key activities: Handling inbound and outbound client enquiries via telephone and email, including technical and production-related queries Checking and validating client-submitted data and samples against required standards Supporting customers with report queries, including explaining technical information clearly Completing all tasks accurately and within agreed timelines Setting up and maintaining client accounts on internal systems Supporting investigations into service or collection-related queries Selecting appropriate tests, completing final checks and issuing reports (full training provided) Ensuring all work meets customer requirements, quality standards and company procedures Communicating clearly and professionally with both customers and colleagues Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of services Building strong working relationships to support effective collaboration Supporting multiple teams to ensure work is delivered to a high standard and within agreed timescales WHAT WE OFFER Join Intertek and become part of our global network of inspiring and entrepreneurial colleagues.
