Used Car Sales Executive
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Used Car Sales Executive to join their vibrant team in Letchworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven sales professional with a passion for cars to develop their career within a reputable independent dealership. The successful candidate will play a key role in converting leads into sales, managing online and in-person customer interactions, and contributing to the ongoing growth of the business.
Benefits
1. Competitive basic salary of £26,000
2. OTE of £40,000 to £50,000 at target volume (12 units per month) uncapped
3. 10% commission on chassis profit, finance, and warranty income
4. Flexible working hours (core days Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with two days flexible!

Used Car Sales Duties
6. Converting inbound leads via phone, email, Auto Trader, walk-ins, Motorway, Carwow, or dealer auctions into sales
7. Managing online vehicle listings, including photos and social media promotion
8. Building strong relationships with customers through the sales process from initial contact to vehicle handover
9. Occasionally collecting vehicles purchased through online platforms or auctions
10. Maintaining and developing your own sales patch, focusing on achieving units, conversion rates, and gross profit targets
11. Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and aftersales service
Experience Needed
12. Proven track record in car sales or motor trade sales; a genuine closers’ record is essential
13. Commercially minded with a good understanding of margins, finance, and warranties
14. Confident and proficient with IT systems including Auto Trader, dealer management software, and online buying platforms
15. Fully presentable and self-motivated with a full UK driving licence
16. Hands-on experience with used car retail, online sales platforms, or wider motor trade is strongly preferred
