Position details
Position: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Belfast
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum
Shifts: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 2.30pm.
Duties
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse associates, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
* Monitor workflow to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and returns using warehouse management systems (WMS).
* Train, coach, and evaluate team members to ensure high performance and compliance with safety standards.
* Oversee equipment operation and coordinate maintenance as needed.
* Develop and enforce safety, security, and housekeeping standards.
* Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
* Generate operational reports and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
* Manage scheduling, shift coverage, and labour allocation to meet workload demands.
* Assist in resolving discrepancies, damages, or customer complaints related to warehouse operations.
Essential Criteria
* 2-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory management, and logistics.
* Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to lift and move materials as required.
* Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
* Current Counterbalance Forklift License.
