Support the Estates and Facilities maintenance section working across multi-functional trade teams delivering an operational service covering planned, preventive and reactive maintenance, minor works, alteration, refurbishment and new works.

Carry out semi-skilled tasks and support trade staff associated with the repair, maintenance or installation of all plant, equipment, systems and building structure/fabric associated with all organisation properties.

Undertake compliance and legislative testing, monitoring and recording in areas such as water safety and Portable Appliance Testing.

Cooperate with the Multi Skilled Trade Assistant Team Leader and Engineering Team Leaders to work to set Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

Actively participate in the operation of the Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system, including completion and return of all task-related information.
*
Undertake maintenance, repairs, minor improvement and capital works across the organisation as directed by management, working to organisational safety standards and procedures.

In cooperation with the Multi Skilled Trade Assistant Team Leader and Engineering Team Leaders, operate within formal policies and procedures for Estates and Facilities in respect of all engineering services.

Assist with access equipment such as ladders, mobile towers and MEWPs, undertaking periodic and pre-use inspections.
*
Assist with providing access for specialist contractors to the organisation’s estate, including advice on building and estate layouts.
*
Be expected to provide cover for the Maintenance team’s stores provision to suit the service requirements or during periods of annual leave/absence, whilst working closely with colleagues within the department to ensure equipment stock levels and deliveries from approved suppliers are maintained.

Assist with the day-to-day operation of administrative tasks associated with the stores operation to suit service requirements.
*
Be familiar with the use of technical and CAFM/electronic stores management system administration, asset and stores coordination, with training provided where necessary.

Assist with raising purchase order requests in accordance with the organisation’s Financial Regulations (value of requisition, appropriate supplier, and authorisation process) and external supplier procedures (order deadlines, minimum order value), for Estates equipment, specialised bespoke equipment, the hiring of cars/vans as appropriate, and receipt and authorisation of invoices for payment.

Assist with the processing of purchase card requests, source and produce the request for authorisation, and confirm with the receipt from the supplier.

Using the P2P receipting program, assist with receipting stock delivery notes and validating invoices for payment. Check what was delivered against delivery notes and invoices. Query any discrepancies with the supplier.

Report any delays in the delivery service and contribute to the setting of new priorities to maintain service provision.

In cooperation with the Multi Skilled Trade Assistant Team Leader and Engineering Managers, participate in out-of-hours support, contributing to the smooth delivery of organisational events and operational needs as required
