We're investing in modernising our fleet, giving you the opportunity to work on a variety of makes and models. There's never been a better time to join Royal Mail as a Vehicle Technician. This role is a permanent position at Acton Workshop, with the potential to earn up to £60k per annum including overtime. Working hours are full time, 39.50 hours per week, on a rotating shift pattern, and 1 in 3 Saturdays (with a weekday day off).
Position details you should know upfront: IMI Level 3 qualified mechanic, with access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in modern workshops.
Responsibilities
* Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
* Utilise your own toolkit for routine maintenance and repairs on light and heavy goods vehicles.
* Utilise specialist tooling and shared equipment in a modern, fully equipped workshop.
Qualifications
* Qualified mechanic: IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent; own toolkit for standard repairs.
* Varied vehicle experience: proven Vehicle Technician experience on a wide range of vehicles (e.g., LCV/HGV).
* Valid UK driving licence: full manual UK licence, preferably with HGV and trailer experience.
* High working standards: pride in work and commitment to completing tasks effectively.
* Flexible to service demands: able to work a flexible shift rota and support the team as needed.

* Salary: £44,345 per annum; potential to earn up to £60k per annum including overtime.
