Apply Now for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as the CNC Machinist Team Leader include:Manufacturing Precision Components: Produce components to engineering drawings and specifications using CNC turning and milling machineryProgramming CNC Machines: Create and adjust CNC programmes using Haas, Heidenhain, Fanuc and Siemens controlsMaintaining Quality Standards: Follow ISO 9001:2015 procedures and ensure all work meets required quality standardsSupporting Production Operations: Assist with the day-to-day organisation of staff, materials and equipment within machining sectionsImproving Processes: Support tooling libraries, standard operating procedures and continuous improvement initiativesMentoring Team Members: Assist with staff training, development and apprentice mentoring activitiesReading Technical Drawings: Interpret engineering drawings, geometric tolerances and machining specifications accuratelyPromoting Health & Safety: Follow company health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environmentCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSRecognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplinePrevious experience in CNC machining, programming, turning and milling operationsProven experience of working with Haas, Heidenhain, Fanuc and Siemens controlsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and geometric tolerancesExperience working with castings, forgings, alloy steels and stainless steelsKnowledge of modern machining practices, tooling and measuring equipmentPrevious experience in staff supervision, mentoring or training activitiesAbility to produce high-quality precision components to tight tolerancesExperience with vices, jigs, fixtures, angle plates and rotary axis machiningCAM software knowledge would be advantageousBENEFITS39-hour working weekTravel allowanceFree on-site gym facilitiesFree private individual health insurance and healthcare cash planFree on-site parkingCompany pension scheme30 days holiday including Bank HolidaysOvertime available paid at time and a halfCareer progression opportunitiesHOW TO APPLYTo be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
