Role Overview
The role combines Project Management and Design Engineering, managing projects through the outline and detailed design lifecycle.
What you’ll do day to day
* Work as part of a “project triangle” with Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor.
* Lead design of treatment or infrastructure projects from initial outline to detailed design, through construction, commissioning and handover.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary team to ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget and quality standards.
* Undertake design in your discipline and mentor less experienced colleagues.
* Build relationships with client teams and promote a one‑team approach.
What you’ll need
* Accredited Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Chartered or Incorporated Member of Engineering Institution or demonstrable progress toward those goals.
* Experience with outline and detailed design of water or wastewater projects.
* Knowledge of Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
