Financial Controller
Newcastle upon Tyne - Site Based
£55,000 to £62,000 - Potential Equity participation

Our client is a high growth privately owned FMCG manufacturing business serving an expanding blue chip customer base. The organisation utilises unique technology providing a competitive advantage in market segments with significant potential.
The business is seeking a Financial Controller to help support this growth story.
This is a stand alone,site based and multi faceted role.
Reporting to a financially literate Managing Director, as part of the senior management team, the role will carry responsibility for all day to day finance issues extending to working with other functions including sales and production to support the broader business.
At a detailed level, specific responsibilities will include, but not be restricted to
* Management accounts
* Statutory reporting and VAT
* Cash flow forecasting and budgeting
* FP & A/commercial support
* Liaison with banks and third parties
* Ongoing business improvement projects
Potential candidates should have a can do attitude, a strong work ethic, and be adaptable. You don’t need to be the finished article, but should have a good grounding in accounting, financial controls, and the fundamentals of reporting/meeting deadlines.
It is anticipated that the individual will develop with the business so any successful candidate should ideally aspire to an enhanced role in future, which of course will be reflected in reward package, ultimately including equity involvement.
Basic starting salary is likely to be in the £55,000 to £62,000 range.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data.
The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years experience in the area
* Proficiency with current financial software
* Understanding of US GAAP
