Occupational Health Physiotherapist – Make a Difference Every Day
Location: Sunderland
Hours: Part‑time, 24 hours per week – Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (09:00–17:30, 30‑minute unpaid lunch)
Working Pattern: Onsite
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years
Salary: Competitive
Additional Info: The company shuts down for two weeks in summer and one week at Christmas.
About the Role
Are you passionate about helping people stay healthy and thrive at work? We’re looking for a confident and experienced Occupational Health Physiotherapist to join our onsite team at Nissan Sunderland.
This is a hands‑on role where you’ll manage your own caseload, support employees with musculoskeletal conditions, and play a key part in early intervention and rehabilitation. Your work will directly contribute to keeping employees moving well, feeling well, and performing at their best.
What You’ll Be Doing
Assess and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries, from work‑related strains to post‑operative recovery
Manage your own caseload confidently and independently
Work closely with HR and managers on safe, timely return‑to‑work plans
Carry out workplace assessments and recommend MSK risk‑reducing adjustments
Deliver training and education sessions to help prevent injuries
Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team to provide a seamless, integrated service
Bonus Points If You Have
• Occupational Health or Ergonomics experience • ACPOHE membership • Postgraduate qualifications (PG Cert/Diploma/MSc)
What We’re Looking For
• Qualified Physiotherapist (Degree/Diploma) with CSP & HCPC registration • Minimum 3 years’ experience in MSK treatment and rehabilitation • Strong communication and organisational skills • Confident, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team
