MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT – part-time
What we're looking for
We are looking to hire a qualified (or part-qualified)
Management Accountant
to join our finance team, part-time 2.5 days a week.
This pivotal role is responsible for producing timely and accurate management information, supporting strategic planning and decision-making, and driving performance through insightful financial analysis.
You'll play a key role in budget setting, forecasting, and cost control, working closely with operational teams across the business to support commercial objectives.
Location
: Remote but with flex to come in to our Covent Garden office occasionally.
What you'll be doing
* Produce monthly management accounts with detailed commentary on performance vs budget/forecast.
* Perform variance analysis, investigating significant differences and communicating findings.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and reforecasts in collaboration with the Finance Director
* Support the month-end and year-end close process.
* Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial data.
* Cashflow management and preparation of the 13-week cashflow forecasts
* Oversight of the Accounts Payable function
* Client project reconciliations, creating sales invoices and credit control
* Support the audit process by providing information and answering auditor queries.
* Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal financial controls.
What we need from you
* Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
* Solid experience in management accounting or similar finance role in the UK.
* Strong understanding of UK financial regulations and accounting standards.
* High proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas).
Desirable:
* Experience of using Paprika
* Media/comms or consultancy experience
