This will be an entry level position in a professional kitchen. The candidate will be required to work under the supervision of the senior chef assisting in the day-to-day operation, this will include: food preparation, basic cooking and food service, hygiene management and stock control.
In this role the candidate will learn a complete range of culinary fundamentals, while developing in areas such as time management, teamwork, stamina and attention to detail which are key to working in a kitchen.
The hospitality industry requires that staff be available to work 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. As such candidates should have the expectation that they will have to work at weekends, on bank holidays and at Christmas.
As a Commis Chef Apprentice at The Horse & Hound, you will be working towards the Commis Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship, over the duration of 15 months, alongside your daily roles and responsiblities.
