Hours: the post will be worked Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00hrs.
The postholder will be expected to provide day‑to‑day comprehensive, confidential and efficient secretarial and administrative support to the multidisciplinary staff within the Adult Eating Disorders Service.
Duties will include telephone enquiries from all staff groups in the NHS, patients, relatives, carers and external agencies and the management of outpatient clinics. You will be expected to direct and prioritise queries as appropriate, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery. You will assist in the management of the mental health patient information system (EMIS) for the team ensuring information is accurate and up‑to‑date and should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office to set up documents and maintain and update databases/spreadsheets, showing competence in the use of a range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualifications e.g. ECDL.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
