Job Summary
Due to an upcoming retirement we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full Time Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and culinary arts, with experience in butchery and food preparation. This role involves preparing high-quality meat products, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our food service operations. The successful applicant will play a vital role in delivering exceptional products to our customers while adhering to strict hygiene and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
* Prepare, cut, and process various types of meat according to specified standards and recipes
* Ensure all meat products are handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area and equipment
* Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed
* Support the team in food preparation tasks within the kitchen environment
* Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent contamination or accidents
* Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge and advice when required
Requirements
* Proven experience in food production, culinary arts, or butchery
* Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
* Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable
* Knowledge of food preparation techniques specific to meat products
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
* Flexibility to work full-time hours, including early mornings or weekends if required
