We are seeking a Visiting Lecturer in Visual Communication (Branding, Graphic Design, Photography, Video Editing & Web – Adobe CC).
You will bring your professional expertise in visual communication and creative production to deliver high-quality, practice-based teaching across branding, graphic design, photography, video editing, and digital media, using industry-standard tools within Adobe Creative Cloud. Teaching will cover areas including:
* Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator,)
* Branding & Visual Identity development
* Digital Photography & Image Editing for content creation
* Video Editing & Motion Content for social, commercial, and promotional use
* Portfolio development and website creation
* Design and creation of Digital Magazines
Working closely with the Director of Programmes and academic colleagues, you will contribute to curriculum delivery across a portfolio of courses including Fashion Marketing and Media and Communications. To inspire students to develop professional creative portfolios, and prepare them for real-world industry opportunities using visual communication and digital media.
What We’re Looking For:
* A degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Photography, Film/Video, or a closely related discipline (MA or equivalent professional experience desirable).
* Professional and/or teaching experience delivering creative subjects within higher education.
* Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly for branding, photography, video editing, and digital media workflows.
* A strong awareness of current and emerging trends in visual communication and digital media.
* A commitment to inclusive, innovative teaching practices and student success.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, support, and inspire a diverse student community.
* A teaching qualification (e.g. PGCert HE, HEA Fellowship) is desirable but not essential
Other Information
As a Visiting Lecturer in Visual Communication, you will play a key role in supporting students’ creative and technical development through studio teaching, workshops, critiques, and assessments. You will bring current industry insight into the classroom and help foster a professional, collaborative learning environment aligned with contemporary creative practice.
