Quality Inspector

Mansfield, Nottinghamshire

£23, 750 (based on 35 hours per week) plus overtime (please note after training your salary will increase to £26,845 based on 35 hours per week)

4 on 4 off days only

Our client, an established family-owned business, who are going through a substantial growth period have identified the need to recruit a Quality Inspector this is an excellent opportunity as the company is investing heavily into the site with robotics and automation, whilst continuing to be committed to their customers, staff and the environment. They are based on the outskirts of Mansfield so own transport is essential due to location. If you want to be part of a highly focused environment, where attention to detail, excellent skills and diligence is required this could be the role for you!

Key Responsibilities for the Quality Inspector

1. Recording and updating data on deflected items, waste control etc
2. Completing weight sheets for reports, regarding product origin
3. Understanding the customers different products /packaging
4. Daily Tally for report to be compiled for QC checks completed
5. Scale verification check
6. Temperature checks on product and weekly calibration
7. Barcode check – cross check the information against the retail code sheet.
8. Toolbox checks – check that all equipment that should be in place is in place.
9. Carrying out internal GMP

Experience and capabilities for the Quality Inspector

10. Previous experience of working in the food industry is essential this would suit someone who has production experience looking for that next step
11. Ideally previous experience or knowledge of working to BRC and retail customer standards
12. The ability to communicate effectively with all staff members
13. Highly numeric with strong data and statistical analysis and written reporting skills
14. Good multi-tasking skills
15. Ensuring right first time culture
16. Confident, professional and tenacious
17. You will be comfortable working in a chilled food processing environment

22. Communication Skills both written and verbal
23. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel
