An excellent opportunity has arisen for a passionate Music Teacher to join a thriving independent school based in the charming seaside town of Sidmouth. The school is proud of its long-established music tradition, offering classical, choral, contemporary, and instrumental tuition across all key stages. Music is at the heart of school life, and the department is highly resourced, including a modern recital hall, music technology suite, and multiple rehearsal rooms.
You will be teaching Music across KS3, KS4, and KS5, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level exams while also participating in concerts, ensemble work, music festivals, and productions. The successful candidate will be expected to lead or accompany co-curricular ensembles and should have strong piano or vocal skills.
Experience and Qualifications
• Music degree and QTS or comparable teaching qualification
• Proven experience of successful Music teaching up to A-Level
• Ability to lead ensembles or choirs, or accompany students
• Committed to inclusive and diverse music-making
• Right to work in the UK
