We’re Hadley Ltd - makers of characterful, eco-friendly greeting cards, stationery and gifts. From our Totnes studio we create designs that bring a little extra joy to the everyday. We’re a small, friendly team and we care deeply about art, sustainability and getting the details just right.
Role Description
We are looking for a dynamic, creative and organised person to join our team and super-power our design flow. If you know your way around Adobe, love seeing a design come to life in print, have an eye for a great product shot and enjoy being hands on in a making environment we’d love to hear from you. This role is support for our Founder, Jo, who creates all our original artwork. While there is an element of creativity involved, it is not a purely creative role and requires a high level of production knowledge.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences.

* Diligent, organised and friendly with a practical can-do attitude - happy to get involved in all aspects of a small studio
* Genuinely interested in sustainable design-led products
* Fastidious, with a keen eye for detail
* Confident using Adobe Creative Suite
* Well-versed in print production: bleeds, colour profiles, file formats etc
* Experienced liaising with external printers and manufacturers
* Able to turn their hand to product photography; whether directing a shoot or picking up a camera themselves
Duties within the role -
* Digitising and cleaning illustrations, working within Adobe to create and adapt files
* Preparing artwork files for print, ensuring everything is press-ready and perfect
* Curating ranges of products based on original illustrations
* Liaising with printers and suppliers - preparing specs, managing briefs, proofing and sign off
* Co-ordinating product photography shoots (experience shooting product photography would be a bonus but not essential)
* Retouching and preparing photography assets for use across print and digital
* Supporting the production process from artwork through to finished goods
* Helping with the smooth running of our design studio
* Keeping organised records of files, specs, and supplier communications
Hours / Salary
* 3 Days / 24 hours a week
* Salary will be dependent on experience, starting from £18,000
* Hours can be spread flexibly across the working week
* Candidate will be required to work from our Totnes studio
