Key Responsibilities of the Freelance Film Producer Role:
* Develop detailed production plans and budgets to ensure the successful delivery of film projects
* Contract external crew and manage logistics, schedules, and health and safety procedures
* Collaborate closely with in-house filmmakers and external suppliers to bring creative visions to life
* Ensure all necessary approvals, contracts, and permissions are in place before filming and delivery
Qualifications and Experience Required:
* Proven success as a line-producer working to the highest industry standards
* A good understanding of editing, post production, audio and CGI
* A solid production background and skill set
* Purchasing and negotiating skills - specifically in relation to all production line-items
* Pragmatic and decisive – be able to respond to creative, technical and decision-making challenges (filming and editing) with speed and accuracy and deliver effective solutions
* Multi tasker – be able to juggle priorities across several projects at any one time
* Good administrative and organizational skills
