ABOUT THE ROLE
EXALT is ready for its next chapter - and you'll be the one writing the playbook. With a shiny new production facility in Wood Green that's six times the size of our current site, we need a Senior Production Manager who can keep pace with our growth and bring the sparkle to our systems.
This isn't about babysitting blenders or ticking HACCP boxes (though you'll nail those too) - it's about building and leading a production powerhouse. Think: processes sharper than our ginger shots, standards higher than our protein count, and a culture as fresh as our juices.
You'll be working side-by-side with our co-founders, Charlie and Dan, in a role that's part strategist, part leader, and part magician. From day one, you'll be driving standards, inspiring your team, and turning organised chaos into efficiency - all while keeping EXALT's signature mix of innovation, quality, and fun.

Started in 2019 by our co-founders who couldn't stand another bland protein shake, EXALT went from an idea to filling the shelves at Selfridges, Ocado, Planet Organic and Peloton. We've even scored partnerships with big names like Nike, Represent, Gymshark & Lululemon. Oh, and let's not forget, we're the Official Sports Nutrition Drink Supplier to Tottenham Hotspur & Brighton (in total, we supply 35% of the Premier League teams behind the scenes). ABOUT YOU
You're not just a résumé; you're a burst of passion with a side of skills:
* 10+ years' experience in food or drink production
, ideally spanning both large-scale manufacturers and fast-growing start-ups.
- Proven track record in scaling production
processes and introducing systems that maintain consistency at volume.
- Strong grounding in QA and food safety
standards (SALSA/BRC), with experience preparing for and passing audits.
- Experience in NPD
and recipe development, including cost analysis and supplier optimisation.
- Exceptional attention to detail
and organisation, with the ability to stay calm and decisive under pressure.
- A great palate
and understanding of flavour balance to support QC tasting and continuous improvement.
- Passion for health, fitness, and nutrition
, with the motivation to grow into a leadership role shaping EXALT's future operations.
KEY AREAS
* Team Leadership
– Build, manage, and develop a production team of ~5 people, ensuring recipes, SOPs, and QA checks are followed precisely.
- Production Planning
– Oversee weekly and monthly schedules, stock forecasting, and maintain accurate planning.
- Process & Systems
– Document, refine, and scale production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Quality & Compliance
– Maintain HACCP records, uphold SALSAC standards, and keep the facility audit-ready at all times.
- Health, Safety & Environment
– Oversee daily opening/closing checks, enforce safety protocols, and champion a clean, organised workplace.
- Equipment Oversight
– Ensure blending, bottling, and related equipment are operated, maintained, and optimised for maximum uptime.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
– Work closely with the founders and wider team to align production with NPD, logistics, and commercial priorities.
- Flexibility
– Support wider operational needs when required in true start-up spirit.

* Monday to Friday in our Islington/Holloway headquarters
* Production days (Mon/Tues/Weds) are 8am to 6pm
* Thu/Fri are generally 9am-6pm but hours may be longer during busy periods and shorter during quieter times.
