We are currently\nlooking to hire an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator/Chief\nEngineer to join our Infrastructure team based in Sellafield on the\nBEPPS2 Project within the 15 year KDP8 framework.

The Temporary Works Coordinator role
\n
* Supporting with all aspects of the design,\ncoordination, submission, compliance, programming and management of\ntemporary works design, and assurance, maintaining and updating the\nTemporary Works Register and completed similar roles within\nConstruction.
* Being the first\npoint of contact between the designers of Temporary Works and the\nsite team/ Contractors.
* Co-ordination of\nall Temporary Works activities.
* Ensuring\nthat design briefs are prepared by relevant team members (with\nappropriate consultation), are adequate and are in accordance with\nthe actual site requirements (design brief are prepared by the\nconstruction team and reviewed / approved by the Area TWC/ Lead\nTWC).
* Ensuring that satisfactory\nTemporary Works designs are carried out, that appropriate design\nchecks are completed and that the design has been\napproved.
* Ensuring all appointments are\nin place for all contractors or kept up to date during the\nconstruction stages.
* Pre-erection\ninspection of the temporary works materials and\ncomponents.
* Control and supervision of\nthe erection, safe use, maintenance and dismantling of the\ntemporary works.
* Check that the\ntemporary works have been erected in accordance with the approved\ndesigns and issue a formal "permit to load" where\nnecessary.
* Confirm when the permanent\nworks have attained adequate strength to allow dismantling of the\ntemporary works and issue a formal "permit to dismantle" where\nnecessary.
* Ensuring that a Change\nControl process is in place, that any agreed changes or remedial\naction are done properly and controlled & monitored on site\nfollowing Temporary Works Procedures.

* Ensuring that maintenance of the Temporary Works is\nproperly done (or delegation to construction team is carried\nout);
* Following confirmation that the\npermanent structure has attained adequate strength, issuing formal\npermission to dismantle the Temporary Works, and specifying any\nsequencing of the operation that is required.
\n
* To ensure that all appropriate maintenance and inspection\nof the Temporary Works are carried out.
\n
* Carry out regular audits or surveillance to contractor\ninstalled temporary works.
* Technical\nability to review and approve Temporary Works designs from\ncontractors or in house designs.
* Manage\ninterfaces across our production and subcontractor teams

Your profile
\n
* You hold a current\nTWC CITB Certification or equivalent, and a valid CSCS card,\ncoupled with Contractor/Subcontractor management\nexperience.
* You hold a degree or equivalent\nqualification and or experience in an Engineering related\ndiscipline preferably Civil or Structural.
\n
* You will have demonstrable experience of working at a\nsimilar level with experience gained in temporary works\ndesign/delivery management, ideally on large\ninfrastructure/construction projects.
\n
* You'll have strong organisational skills, effective\ninfluencing, and communication skills.
* You'll\nalso be a strong collaborator and relationship builder with\neffective stakeholder management skills.
* Full\ndriving licence.
\n
