Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant (TA): Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism, helping them engage with the curriculum and thrive in the classroom. Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons. Foster a positive, nurturing, and structured learning environment. Collaborate with school staff and SEN professionals to support the pupil’s individual needs. Participate in school activities, training sessions, and meetings as required. Requirements for Teaching Assistant (TA): Previous experience working with children in any capacity (education, childcare, youth work, etc.). A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed. An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
