PRU Mentor | Secondary Alternative Provision | Bury | Step Teachers
Start: After Half Term – Oct 3rd or ASAP after that
Pay: Up to £105/day (PAYE)
Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–3:30pm | Temp-to-Perm
We’re working with a secondary PRU in Bury supporting young people aged 11–16 from vulnerable backgrounds who are looking for a PRU Mentor to join them. The school provides smaller classes, vocational learning, and strong pastoral care to help pupils rebuild confidence and re-engage with education.
You’ll support students through 1:1 mentoring, intervention sessions, and hands-on activities across subjects like construction, catering, and outdoor learning. Each day is different, combining academic support with personal guidance and emotional mentoring.
What you’ll need:
* Experience working with young people (SEMH, behavioural, or vulnerable settings)
* A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Requirements: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply), 2 professional references, right to work in the UK, photo ID, proof of address, and a 10-year CV history.
