A fantastic opportunity to become Team Manager of South Trafford Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) has become available. Trafford CMHT is an integrated team, comprised of a variety of professionals who offer effective, person-centred care daily.
This role presents a unique opportunity to provide strong and consistent leadership to a dynamic and enthusiastic team who provide care and support for adults of working age.
The desired individual is a professional who is motivated, driven, and has the enthusiasm and ability to lead the day-to-day operations of the team. You will provide strategic oversight for the team and support individuals within the team via management supervision and clinical support to the wider integrated team.
We are looking for somebody who is passionate about community services and wider community transformation efforts across the mental health landscape. Furthermore, we are seeking somebody with the necessary skillset to support integration with inpatient, urgent care, Local Authority, acute services and the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise sector.
The role of CMHT team manager will enable you as a mental health leader, to support the development of both staff and mental health service delivery more broadly. There is huge potential and scope to genuinely make a difference to the lives of Trafford residents.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the day-to-day operational management, leadership, and development of a multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) for working age adults. The team is integrated, flexible, user-focussed, and recovery-orientated to deliver a safe, effective, and high-quality service to service users with mental health needs.
Participation as a member of the Community Services Management Team in the overall management of community based secondary mental health services.
Participate in the service bronze on site / on call rota as required.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential criteria
8. Qualified professional (Mental Health Nurse/Social Worker/Occupational Therapist) with current registration with relevant professional body. NMC, SWE, HCPS
9. Significant post qualifying clinical experience of working within the mental health field
10. Management and supervision of staff
11. Leadership skills - positive leadership of a team
12. Effective team working within a multi-agency framework
