Our client, well-established membership organisation is recruiting for Temporary Receptionist to join their friendly, professional front-of-house team. This short-term opportunity offers a vital position supporting day-to-day administrative functions, guest coordination, and member-facing services.
About the Role
Acting as the first point of contact for members, guests, and staff, you’ll ensure a professional and efficient reception service while also supporting administrative and operational duties. This is an ideal role for someone confident in front-facing duties who also has a strong grasp of internal processes and CRM systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and sign in visitors, ensuring meeting room arrangements are accurate and hospitality is provided
* Maintain daily welcome messages and meeting schedules on-screen and in diaries
* Handle incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately using helpdesk processes
* Using their CRM platform (preferably ReadyMembership) to support bookings, records, and member queries
* Open, sort, and distribute incoming post and email, forwarding invoices and sensitive materials as needed
* Coordinate meeting room bookings, including room layout and catering arrangements
* Manage consumables (tea, coffee, milk, stationery, water) and liaise with suppliers
* Provide support for taxi, courier, hotel and publication bookings on behalf of staff and members
* Hold and manage office keys and alarm codes, supporting general office security
* Liaise with contractors (e.g. cleaners, maintenance, fire testing)
* Oversee use of the franking machine, shredders, and printer replenishments
Essential Skills
* Previous reception, front-of-house, or customer service experience
* Familiarity with CRM systems
* Strong organisational skills and a high level of accuracy
* A confident, professional, and friendly manner
* The ability to handle confidential information with discretion
* Competence in using email, Microsoft Office, and telephony systems
