Baggage Tracing Agents
Job Description
Reporting to: Duty Manager
Shifts: A mixture of early and late shifts (162.5 hours per month)
Main tasks:
* To create AHL/DPR files for any disrupted passengers.
* To carry out any follow up work/secondary tracing on above files.
* To maintain regular contact with disrupted passengers.
* To regularly monitor and clear the action files.
* To answer and act on any telephone/answer phone queries.
* To ensure correct procedures/documentation are carried out for the transportation of unaccompanied hold baggage (Rush Bags).
* To communicate promptly with Ops the volume of rush baggage per flight.
* To register and store and found property/unclaimed baggage in accordance with company policy.
* To hand over to Customs and Excise officials all relevant found property.
* To maintain daily communication with baggage handlers re prompt delivery of rush baggage to aircraft.
* To maintain daily communication with courier companies re prompt delivery of found baggage to passengers.
* To assist where possible in meeting arriving flights.
* Comply with all SHP health and safety and security requirements
* Comply with internal updated procedures as instructed by Manager
* Comply with external updated procedures as instructed by Airlines and CAA
* Complete any tasks that the Duty Manager may require
* Other duties will be assigned from time to time.
Person Specification:
* Worldtracer experience is desirable
* Ability to work well under pressure.
* Excellent Organisational skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Excellent administration and reporting skills
* Flexible approach, ability to adapt to evolving environment
* Computer literate – MS Office
* Ability to work rostered shifts and to be flexible in the event of disruptions
Agents must be fully flexible and available to work rostered shifts in line with operational demand
