Closing date: Monday 24th November 2025
Who we are
We’re not just talking about making a difference, we’re making it happen. We
generate dispatchable, renewable power and create stable energy in an uncertain
world. Building on our proud heritage, we have ambition to become the global
leader in sustainable biomass and carbon removals.
You’ll be joining our teams of practical doers, future thinkers and business
champions. We’re enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future for all, and
working hard to decarbonise the planet for generations to come.
About the role
As Cyber Security Analyst – Design Assurance, you’ll be responsible for
supporting the assessment and assurance of security designs across enterprise
and operational technology (OT) systems. Working as part of the Design
Assurance function, you’ll ensure that security principles, controls, and
standards are effectively integrated into new and existing solutions.
The role involves analysing architecture documentation, technical designs, and
implementation evidence to identify potential risks or deviations from policy.
By collaborating with design authorities, architects, and project delivery
teams, you’ll help ensure that systems are built securely and aligned with
organisational and regulatory expectations.
Through detailed review, technical insight, and continuous improvement
activities, you’ll contribute to the overall assurance of Drax’s digital estate
— ensuring solutions are secure by design and resilient against evolving cyber
threats.
Who we’re looking for
To be successful in this role you’ll need previous experience in cyber
security, design assurance or architecture support roles. This will include reviewing
technical designs and providing risk-based assurance, as well as conducting
security assessments and producing assurance reports.
You’ll understand network and system security, architecture principles, and
secure design methodologies. It would be highly beneficial if you already hold
or are working towards a qualification such as CompTIA Security+, CISMP, CCSP
or SSCP.
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills including
root-cause analysis with the ability to manage multiple activities at pace.
You’ll have strong communication and stakeholder management skills,
both verbal and written, with the ability to lead small projects, work with
complexity and think outside the box.
