The Role
We are growing our team and have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join a vibrant group of research project managers in the Faculty of Medical Sciences. You will work with investigators, collaborators, the research team, University Research Institutes and professional services staff to deliver projects.
We provide professional project management support to the Faculty of Medical Sciences’ research portfolio, including complex milestone‑driven, multi‑site and cross‑disciplinary projects. The team manages ~58 projects with a value in excess of £140m covering observational studies, experimental medicine research, trials and research involving the development of devices, genes and other therapies.
Responsibilities
You will be allocated research projects from the team’s portfolio and provide assistance to the team while working closely with investigators, collaborators and research staff. Responsibilities include ensuring progress against milestone and financial targets, highlighting and managing risks, and integrating into the project team.
Requirements
* Good level of education up to ‘A’ level or equivalent with excellent literacy and numeracy.
* Experience of project management.
* Self‑starter with excellent interpersonal skills, clear communication in writing and verbally, strong organisational and time‑management skills, and a positive ‘can‑do’ attitude.

£32,080 per annum.
