We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Director of Learning Humanities who is dynamic, creative and ambitious. The Director of Learning Humanities is a key post and an exciting one. We are looking for an exemplary leader to offer strategic direction, creative curriculum design and team co-construction to ensure the outcomes for all students are exceptional. Purpose: To raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the curriculum area and to monitor and support student progress. To be accountable for student progress and development within the subject area. To develop and enhance the teaching practice of others to create consistency of approach and excellence within the classroom. To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying in the department, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies. To be accountable for leading, managing and developing the subject/curriculum area. The right candidate will have: Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification Relevant specialist qualifications and experience (e.g BSc in History or related degree) Specialism in History Ability to deliver high-quality Science lessons covering a range of modules and concepts A good understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements for Science Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning to ensure all learners progress and achieve to a high standard in preparation for examinations Why join us?
