You will work across the stack to help support our SaaS product - from designing and implementing front-end interfaces to building reliable and scalable backend services. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver features end-to-end, improve system performance, and contribute to the technical direction of the application. This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on a product used to improve the performance of renewable assets every day.Accountabilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end features of our new SaaS application.
2. Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into new features.
3. Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability as the platform evolves.
4. Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
5. Contribute to architectural discussions and long-term technical decisions.
6. Help to improve documentation and maintainability of a legacy system.
KnowledgeThe ideal candidate would have expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies, including modern frameworks, databases, datalakes, and API design. They would ideally have a good understanding of software architecture, testing, CI/CD, and cloud platforms like Azure. Strong knowledge of coding standards, performance optimisation, and security best practices is essential, along with the ability to contribute to scalable, maintainable solutions. Domain knowledge of the renewables industry is not essential but would be nice to have.Skills
7. Knowledge of front-end technologies such as React, HTML, CSS, and javascript/typescript.
8. Experience with back-end development in C#
9. Additional experience working with Python would be desirable.
10. Proficiency in working with data structures such as relational databases and datalakes.
11. Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
12. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
13. Solid understanding of software design patterns and best practices.
14. Ability to communication progress to managers and collaborate with fellow engineers.
15. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
16. Ability to work in a distributed team.

17. Preferred 3+ years of coding experience, including hands-on experience of all the required skills.
