* Salary: 34,000 - 36,500 per annum (OTE 41,040 - 43,540 per annum including tronc)
* Hours: 45 hours per week, over 5 days
Our Sommeliers are free from the traditional image of wine service. As part of our food and beverage team our Sommeliers play an important role within our restaurant and bar service. We offer an extensive wine list to our guests, from wines across the world, local British produce to our very own PIG offering! We love wine so much, our latest addition to our group, THE PIG in the South Down, has its very own vineyard!
The role of Head Sommelier is key to our success. You will bring a proactive, motivated attitude, strong product knowledge and a creative flair to pass onto other team members. You must have completed a recognised study in wine and spirits and hold WSET or equivalent qualifications. In return, we provide further qualifications for your personal development and support a growth mindset. As Head Sommelier you will be responsible for the growth of our wine team, ensuring guests receive a quality experience, developing our wine list, and overseeing the cellar. You will collaborate with the management team, reflect our ethos and provide a memorable service for guests.
Experience in a similar role is essential. You will develop the wine list and be responsible for the cellar.
