Are you an experienced SQL Server professional looking for your next challenge? We are working with a leading financial services company in Leicester that is seeking a skilled SQL Server Database Administrator to join their dynamic team.
Location: Leicester (Hybrid – 2/3 x days a week in office)
The Role
As a SQL Server DBA, you will play a key role in managing, maintaining, and optimizing the company’s database infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, security, and performance while also leveraging Azure cloud technologies to support the company’s digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases.
* Design and implement database solutions that ensure security, performance, and availability.
* Work with Azure-based database services, ensuring seamless cloud integration.
* Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
* Support development teams with database best practices and optimizations.
* Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Key Skills & Experience
* Strong experience with SQL Server administration.
* Experience working with Azure (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, or related services).
* Knowledge of performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
* Experience with high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions.
* Understanding of database security best practices.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced financial services environment.
