Overview
Autism Graduate Support Assistant – this role is in a SEND school in Oldham, seeking a Psychology graduate to join the SEND team and support young people in education.
Are you a university graduate with a strong academic background who is keen to support young learners with special educational needs and disabilities? The role may suit someone with previous experience working with young people with ASC/ADD and an interest in working in an all-through school for the full academic year.
Responsibilities
* Work on a 1:1 basis with children with SEND
* Support children who have special educational needs and/or challenging behaviour
* Differentiate instruction according to individual needs
* Communicate with various stakeholders
Qualifications
* 1st class or 2:1 degree in Psychology or a relatable subject
* Strong knowledge of SEND (if required)
* Passionate about education and SEN
* Thinking of becoming a teacher or Educational Psychologist in the future
* SEND experience is essential
