Salary: £15.30 per hour | £31,824 per annum
Contract: Full‑time | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Hours: 7:30am–6:00pm | All year round | Closed on bank holidays

At Shooting Stars Kings Norton, we’re looking for a warm, motivated and skilled Under‑2s Room Leader to join our supportive, well‑established nursery team.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a confident and energetic early years professional who leads with kindness, clarity and creativity.
Essential Requirements
* Level 3 (or above) full and relevant Early Years qualification
* Experience working in a children’s day nursery
* Previous Room Leader or Team Leader experience
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and SEND
* Ability to build warm, trusting relationships with young children and their families
* A genuine passion for child‑led, play‑based learning in the early years
About the role
You will play a key role in shaping the care, routines and learning experiences for the babies and toddlers in your room.
In this role, you will:
* Lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and early learning
* Act as a Key Person, building strong and reassuring parent partnerships
* Plan stimulating, sensory‑rich activities tailored to individual needs
* Ensure the room consistently meets EYFS, health & safety and safeguarding standards
* Create a nurturing, calm and inclusive environment
* Support, coach and motivate Early Years Practitioners
* Champion high‑quality practice and reflective teamwork
