Responsibilities
:
1. Process and validate payroll inputs, including new starters, leavers, statutory payments (SMP, SSP, SPP, etc.), tax, NI, pensions, and pay adjustments.
2. Conduct secondary reviews to ensure accuracy and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
3. Manage off-cycle and arrears payments in line with payroll calendars.
4. Handle complex payroll queries and anomalies, including gross-to-net manual calculations and HMRC queries.
5. Lead year-end activities such as P60s, P11Ds, and PAYE Settlement Agreements.
6. Support audit readiness and maintain accurate payroll records in line with legal requirements.
7. Assist in testing activities including script development, end-to-end testing, defect logging, and resolution.
8. Support data migration by validating conversion data and conducting pay comparisons.
9. Use the Payroll Control Centre (PCC) to execute payroll runs, validate master data, and resolve errors.
10. Work with consultants to align system configuration to business requirements.
Requirements:
11. Strong experience in full-cycle, insourced UK payroll operations.
12. Hands-on expertise withSAP SuccessFactorsandEmployee Central Payroll(ECP).
13. Familiarity withPayroll Control Centre (PCC)operations and troubleshooting.
14. Deep understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory payments.
15. High attention to detail with strong analytical and Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
16. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to guide and support colleagues.
17. Able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
18. Confident presenting to stakeholders and providing payroll training.
