An exciting opportunity has arisen for a friendly and enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at White Cliffs Vets, situated in the lovely village of Whitfield, just outside Dover in Kent. Our location offers easy access to mainland Europe, high-speed rail links to London, and is only twenty minutes from the historic city of Canterbury.
This is a busy and demanding role in which you will be required to:
1. Welcome clients and their pets to the surgery
2. Deal with enquiries via telephone and face-to-face
3. Take payments and handle medication
4. Use and update our electronic diary system
5. Carry out varied administrative tasks
More about you
The successful candidate should ideally have experience within the veterinary profession or a similar customer care role. A passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, computer literacy, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential.
Your shift pattern
Our full-time position is for an average of 40 hours per week, with shifts either from 8 am to 6 pm or 8:20 am to 6:20 pm, four days a week, plus one Saturday morning in four (8:30 am - 12:30 pm). Flexibility for holiday and sickness cover is also required.
