In this role you will play a key part in selling our full range of building supplies. Previous sales experience in a builder’s merchant environment is essential, and a driving licence is preferred. The position requires working alternate Saturdays.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Provide quotations for customers
* Deal with customers face to face and over the telephone
* Deliver excellent customer service and sound product advice
* Proactively promote product sales, seizing every opportunity to close or increase a sale
* Use a customer relationship management system (CRM) to manage a portfolio of 50+ customers
* Generate new business with existing and new customers
* Perform upsell and gap analysis for existing customers
* Conduct cold calling and lead qualification
* Follow up on quotes
Qualifications and Skills
* Motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic with a self‑driven, positive attitude
* Sound knowledge of building supplies
* Prior sales experience in a builder’s merchant environment is a necessity
* Confident in dealing with customers
* Ability to build strong customer relationships
* Good telephone manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Computer literate
