Are you a quality-driven professional with a passion for systems, processes, and continuous improvement? We're recruiting on behalf of a market-leading food manufacturer seeking a Quality Systems Manager to take ownership of their Quality Management System (QMS) and play a pivotal role in driving site-wide compliance and food safety excellence.
Role Overview
As the Quality Systems Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining robust quality systems, document control, supplier approvals, and internal audits. You'll lead the Technical Services Team and work cross-functionally to embed a culture of food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone highly organised, audit-ready, and solutions-focused, with experience managing BRC and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and develop the site-wide Quality Management System (QMS) and documentation.
Lead internal audits and ensure action plans are completed on time.
Oversee the master action log and ensure full traceability from policy to record.
Ensure compliance with BRC and customer standards.
Drive improvements in supplier approvals, complaint reduction, and traceability.
Manage the Technical Services Team and lead on quality data input across systems (e.g., Quantiv).
Analyse Food Safety & Quality Culture surveys and support positive cultural change.
Ensure all documentation is archived and retrievable out of hours.
Success Metrics Include
Timely action completion and audit closeouts
Reduction in traceability non-conformances and complaints
Up-to-date specifications and accurate operational records
Effective data analysis and communication across departments
What We're Looking For
Experience managing Quality Systems in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Strong understanding of BRC and customer audit requirements.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Confident leading cross-functional teams and influencing at all levels.
