Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Duties
* Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and managing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
* Provide medication information to patients under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
* Support patient care activities, including answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage
* Maintain accurate records of medication inventory, expiry dates, and storage conditions
* Ensure compliance with all legal and safety regulations related to pharmacy operations
* Process insurance claims and handle administrative tasks related to prescriptions
* Support the organisation of pharmacy stock levels and restocking as needed
* Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician or similar role within a healthcare setting
* Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care protocols
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
* Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Certification or registration as a Pharmacy Technician is desirable but not mandatory for all jurisdictions
* A compassionate approach to patient care and confidentiality is essential
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the pharmacy setting
