All England Dance (AED) is a national youth dance charity supporting and celebrating young dancers across the UK; delivered by a large number of dedicated volunteers and our small and talented operational team. Through our long-established competitions, including the prestigious AED Finals and UK Young Dancer Finals, the charity provides opportunities for dancers to perform, develop, and excel. We continue to build on our heritage and success with new outreach programmes and scholarships.
Role Description
This full-time role for General Manager at AED is offered on a fixed term 12-month contract and is a remote position (based from home with travel as required).
The General Manager will be responsible for the overall operational management and delivery of All England Dance’s activities. This includes leading the day-to-day running of the organisation, ensuring the successful planning and execution of regional finals and the AED Dance Finals, and working closely with the Board of Trustees, key stakeholders and partners.
The role requires a hands-on, adaptable and dynamic individual who can balance operational excellence with future strategic growth initiatives, including the co-ordination of fundraising, sponsorship development, and the expansion of AED’s charitable and outreach impact.
Required Experience
Proven success in an operational management role.
Experience of managing budgets, and operational expenditure.
Demonstrable project management skills with experience delivering multi-stakeholder events.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of dance organisations, arts administration, or non-profit operations is desirable
