Housing Officer – Social Housing
Location: Leeds
Contract: 3–6 Months Temporary (Strong Potential to Go Permanent)
Start Date: 5th January
Working Pattern: Hybrid (Home Working & Estate Visits)
We are supporting a reputable Housing Association in Leeds who are looking to appoint an experienced Housing Officer. This role is ideal for someone confident in tenancy management, resident engagement, and estate-based work who can make an immediate impact from the new year.
Role Overview
As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality neighbourhood management service across a defined patch. You will work closely with residents to promote tenancy sustainment, resolve tenancy-related issues, and help maintain safe, well-managed communities.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a patch of general needs properties
*
Conduct tenancy sign-ups, home visits, and tenancy reviews
*
Handle low to medium-level ASB cases, safeguarding concerns, and tenancy breaches
*
Support residents with tenancy sustainment and early-intervention strategies
*
Liaise with contractors, partner agencies, and internal teams
*
Carry out estate inspections and ensure communal areas are maintained
*
Prepare documentation and attend meetings when required
About You
*
Previous experience as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, or similar (minimum 12–18 months)
*
Strong knowledge of tenancy management, housing legislation, and sector best practice
*
Confident lone-working and able to manage a varied caseload
*
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
*
Experience working with vulnerable residents and external agencies
*
Able to start on 5th January with no notice restrictions
