Team Leader Role

working times : Monday - Friday  6am start time 

Core Focus

Direct operational execution and day-to-day team oversight, ensuring consistent service delivery and maintaining cleanliness standards.

Core Responsibilities

Operational Oversight The Team Leader works alongside cleaning staff while monitoring their performance against established cleanliness standards. This includes conducting daily area inspections, completing shift sign-off sheets, and performing cleaning audits with staff members. The role requires ensuring all scheduled tasks are completed to specification and that first-class cleaning services are maintained throughout the building.

Team Management Direct supervision includes managing attendance by covering absences and arranging staff coverage within the team. The Team Leader ensures staff arrive at work areas on time, monitors break compliance to prevent extensions, and conducts return-to-work interviews when needed. Regular team meetings must be held with documented notes, and the Team Leader is responsible for encouraging staff to complete required learning modules.

Communication and Client Relations The position serves as a key communication point with clients, addressing concerns and maintaining service relationships. Internal communication includes regular liaison with supervisors, managers, and contractors, as well as checking emails for work-related updates and attending scheduled team meetings.

Administrative and Compliance Duties Administrative responsibilities include ordering cleaning materials with weekly stock sheets submitted to the stock responsible person, logging and closing work orders in Corrigo.

Safety and Standards The role requires maintaining clean, tidy, and secured cleaning cupboards when not in use. . All activities must align with health and safety protocols while maintaining operational flexibility to meet varying demands.

This position demands both technical cleaning knowledge and people management skills, requiring someone who can balance hands-on work with supervisory oversight while maintaining consistent standards across all service areas.
