Corporate Senior/Managing Associate

The client has advised us that they are looking for an ambitious and exceptional Corporate Senior/Managing Associate to join their dynamic corporate team. The role will be hybrid working. The client is flexible as to where the candidate will be based. The client will accept applicants from Manchester, London, Southampton, Plymouth, Exeter, or Bristol.
As part of the role, you will be working and collaborating with industry experts and your key responsibilities will be to:
1. Cultivate robust relationships with clients and internal teams, deciphering business goals to provide strategic advice across corporate transactions
2. Work on large amounts of M & A work and organisation restructuring (deal sizes from £10-100 million). The type of clients are generally within an international element (in western Europe and US) with a large amount of retail and consumer clients
3. Develop expertise in guiding clients through the formulation of group development processes, playbooks, and toolkits
4. Work closely with clients and their internal teams to understand their business goals and advise them across a range of corporate transactions and related activities
5. Collaborate seamlessly with the client solutions team, tailoring technology solutions in sync with clients' business strategies
6. Be the linchpin in fostering enduring client relationships, seamlessly integrating with their internal teams
7. Craft tailor made acquisition and disposal programs, orchestrating restructurings, and immersing in broader corporate related work
The ideal candidate will possess:
8. Corporate experience with a proven track record in M&A transactions and strategic investments
9. Experience working on other jurisdictional work (outside of UK)
10. Exceptional communication, rapport-building and teamworking skills
11. An inquisitive nature about business operations, complemented by the ability to understand the commercial context of clients' businesses
12. The ability to work autonomously, coupled with the support and supervision from senior colleagues. You will also be able to support less experienced members of the team and delegate tasks
The successful candidate is a 6+ years PQE England and Wales Qualified Lawyer who qualified within private practice with a Corporate Law background.
