Youth Workers (Part-Time, Term Time only)
Do you want to make a difference for young people in your community?
Dorset Youth is looking for enthusiastic and committed Youth Workers to join our team and help deliver engaging, supportive youth club sessions in East Dorset.
We currently have several sessional Youth Worker posts available:
* Lytchett Matravers Youth Club – Tuesdays (x2 posts)
5:30 – 9:30pm (includes set up, 1.5hr delivery x 2 sessions, and clear up/evaluate)
* The Reef Youth Club, Colehill – Wednesdays (x1 post)
6:00 – 8:30pm (includes set up, 1.5hr delivery, and clear up/evaluate)
* The Reef Youth Club, Colehill – Thursdays (x1 post)
6:00 – 8:30pm (includes set up, 1.5hr delivery, and clear up/evaluate)
What you'll do:
* Support the delivery of fun, safe and inclusive youth club sessions
* Build positive relationships with young people aged 10–18
* Help young people to develop confidence, social skills and resilience
* Work alongside volunteers and other staff to create engaging activities
* Be a positive role model, supporting young people's personal development
What we're looking for:
* Someone with experience of working with children or young people (paid or voluntary)
* Enthusiasm, creativity and good communication skills
* A team player who is also confident working independently when needed
* Commitment to safeguarding and creating safe, welcoming spaces
* Willingness to undertake training (including a Youth Work qualification if not already held)

Salary: Hourly rate dependent on experience and qualifications
