Job Specification: Banksman | Site Logistics & Vehicle Marshaller

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly professional and safety-conscious Banksman (Vehicle Marshaller) to join a leading MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) specialist on a major mission-critical Data Centre project near Stockley Park.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe coordination of all plant and delivery vehicles arriving at the MEP interface, ensuring strict adherence to site safety protocols and security requirements inherent in high-tier Data Centre environments.
Key Responsibilities
Traffic Coordination: Safely directing all MEP-related delivery vehicles (including HGVs and specialised plant) into and out of the site loading bays.
Safety Leadership: Acting as the primary point of contact for vehicle safety, ensuring all drivers adhere to the Site Traffic Management Plan (STMP).
Communication: Maintaining constant radio or hand-signal contact with plant operators and site management to prevent collisions or site congestion.
Security Compliance: Assisting with the verification of delivery manifests and driver IDs in line with the project's high-security (Data Centre) standards.
Pedestrian Safety: Managing the interface between moving vehicles and site personnel, ensuring all exclusion zones are respected.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate logs of vehicle movements and assisting with daily safety briefings/toolbox talks.Required Qualifications & "Licenses
CPCS A73 (Plant & Vehicle Marshaller): A valid Blue Competent Operator card is highly preferred. Red Trained Operator cards will be considered based on experience.
Alternative: NPORS (with CSCS Logo) Vehicle Marshaller N403.
CSCS Green/Blue Card: Mandatory for site access.
Security Clearance: Ability to pass BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) or equivalent vetting for Data Centre access.
Medical: Current Safety Critical Worker Medical certificate.Technical Skills & Experience
Data Centre Experience: Previous experience working on "Mission Critical" or high-security infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
MEP Awareness: Understanding the specific logistics involved in MEP delivery (e.g., switchgear, cooling units, large-scale cabling).
Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a firm command of hand-signal protocols.Remuneration & Benefits
Salary: £40k to £50k annually depending on experience.
Shift Pattern: Standard 40-45 hour week
