Laminator
Shift: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:15 (early finish to your working day)
Pay: £12.21/hour. Weekly pay.
Contract: Temporary to Permanent opportunity
Are you hands-on, detail-oriented, and looking for a long-term role in manufacturing where you can build practical skills and work on high-quality engineered products? This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing production environment where training, stability, and craftsmanship are valued.
This role combines mould preparation, GRP laminating, and component assembly, offering variety in your day-to-day work and the chance to develop specialist composite manufacturing skills. You'll be involved in producing durable GRP structures supplied across the UK and internationally.
Previous GRP or composite experience is welcome but not essential - full training is provided for candidates with the right attitude and practical mindset.
What You'll Be Doing
Preparing and setting moulds for production, including:
Removing cured panels
Cleaning and protecting mould surfaces
Accurately refitting formers, frames, and inserts
Carrying out GRP laminating tasks such as:
Resin and reinforcement placement
Ensuring correct fibre orientation, consolidation, and surface finish
Assembling GRP housings and components, including:
Walls, roofs, doors, and fittings
Aligning and fixing components to achieve precise fit and finish
Working from engineering drawings and production information
Maintaining consistently high standards of workmanship and quality

Practical experience using hand tools or working in a manufacturing environment
Ability (or willingness to learn) to read drawings and follow instructions
Good understanding of basic measurements and accuracy
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team
Reliability and a willingness to learn new skills
