About the role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quality Controller to join a busy manufacturing facility in Brandesburton. This Quality Controller role is focused on maintaining and improving product quality across a modular building production environment. The Quality Controller will be responsible for carrying out inspections, identifying issues, and ensuring compliance with specifications at every stage of production.
The successful Quality Controller will play a key role in supporting production teams, maintaining high standards, and ensuring all products leaving the facility meet required quality benchmarks. This Quality Controller position would suit someone with strong attention to detail, a methodical approach, and previous experience in a similar manufacturing or construction environment.

Key responsibilities
• Conduct quality inspections on incoming materials including visual and measurement checks
• Ensure all modules are compliant with specifications and technical drawings
• Perform in process quality checks throughout production
• Verify correct materials and fixings are used across all stages
• Capture photographic evidence of critical components during inspections
• Check travelling documentation to ensure all stages are signed off correctly
• Inspect completed products and produce snagging lists where required
• Raise non conformance reports when necessary
• Carry out and record monthly tape measure calibration checks
• Conduct site installation audits when required
• Perform internal audits in line with company procedures
• Ensure health and safety compliance is maintained across production

Skills and experience required
• Previous experience working as a Quality Controller or in a similar quality inspection role
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience of snagging and identifying defects
• Strong attention to detail and a logical, methodical approach
• Good communication skills across all levels
• IT literate with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Desirable:
• Experience within the modular building industry
• Knowledge of Siniat and British Gypsum systems
• Familiarity with a range of construction or manufacturing products
