As Site Quality Coordinator at our Stourton Dairy in Leeds, you will work in collaboration with the Site QEHS and Laboratory team to execute operational plans associated with functional and commercial success. You will ensure that standards and legislation are adhered to, whilst meeting customer needs and keeping quality, efficiency and best practice at the heart of what you do each day.
How you will make an impact?
* You will support the day to day functioning of the on-site Laboratory, whilst maintaining the lab policies and procedures.
* You will monitor compliance to all aspects of the Campden Laboratory Approval Scheme (CLAS) as well as conducting internal audits relevant to CLAS requirements.
* You will support training of Laboratory procedures and processes. You will facilitate all required external testing using a partner Laboratory (Trials, Shelf life, Nutritional testing).
* You will support trials and commissioning activity inline with on-site projects and CapEx activity. Additionally, you will support wider QEHS Team with internal audits relevant to BRC and Customer requirements.
What will make you successful?
We are looking for a well-rounded, strong, technical team member.
* Previous experience of Laboratory operation within a food manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of Campden Laboratory Approval Scheme (CLAS).
* A structured approach to optimisation and problem solving.
* A clear sense of commerciality, recognising the role that our customers and consumers play, and the impact that the local technical function has on those relationships.
* A demonstrative ability to work collaboratively whilst comfortably taking autonomous decisions where appropriate.
Things we’d love to tell you about our Stourton site
* Our Stourton site takes in 2.2 million litres of milk daily.
* It produces around 660 million litres of the nation’s favourites per year from 16 automated filling lines.
* From Stourton we produce over 225 SKUs within 10 different product groups, such as Cravendale & BOB filtered milk, flavoured milk, creams, alcohol cream, custards and cottage cheese.
* The site has received c.£315 million in investment since 2004.
