The Role
As a Procurement Performance Manager, you’ll lead procurement operations and performance across Mission Systems, driving strategic capability forward in line with our five-year plan. This is a role where your expertise will deliver real impact - reducing costs, optimising supplier relationships, and shaping processes that support national security. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
1. Lead Mission Systems supply chain performance and deliver on our five-year procurement strategy.
2. Manage and direct procurement operations, collaborating across functions to ensure success.
3. Drive delivery of benefit and savings targets for Mission Systems.
4. Collate and present performance reports for Group and Sector leadership.
5. Champion process standardisation and act as Coupa lead for Group P&SC.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days onsite and days working from home.
Essential experience of the Procurement Performance Manager
6. Significant procurement experience, ideally in a project procurement environment, including management experience.
7. Strong analytical skills and excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
8. Flexible approach to workload and ability to operate at all levels.
9. Self-motivated with proven ability to lead and influence in a matrix environment.
10. Hands-on experience with Power BI, IFS, SAP, and Microsoft Office tools.
Qualifications for the Procurement Performance Manager
11. Degree-level qualification and/or relevant engineering, supply chain, or lean culture experience.
12. Membership of a professional body such as CIPS Level 5 or above (advantageous but not essential).
